What is a Door Page ?
It
is the entrance file, in form of a
visible web page for a search engine
robot,
to pick up keyword related data for
its index.
Every
search engine has a so called "robot"
that crawls the internet for new and
existing web pages.
The robot finds those web pages. and
lists = record them to the search
engine's index.
The robot also follows every single
link from this DOOR pages to its destination
(URL), and record those URL's' in
the index as well.
The robot also "qualifies" each website
for its' relevancy and "popularity",
and determines a certain "rank" within
the search engine's index for each
single crawled website.
So,
since the robot works under certain
parameters, there are web pages. that
are more "friendly" for a search engine
